Time to Spookify the Blog for October! [Blog Update]

Hi there!

One of my favorite times of the year is coming up in two weeks! Trees changing color, various apple flavored desserts and ciders, and the digging up of old spooky stories told to pass the growing nights. As you can tell, I love Fall and the month of October especially. October means Halloween, one of my favorite indie comic conventions, and Inktober! So, I wanted to try something new this year and get the blog into the spirit of the season so to speak.

You all seemed to love my Mythology of Ancient Magus’ Bride posts, with a total of 1,297 views for the first one alone. What better way to usher in the season then to take a dive into more mythology in a special month-long event!

Three days a week I’ll be posting short histories of anime, manga, or comic characters, events, or other miscellaneous things that have ties to myths and legends. That means no romance reviews for a full month.

But this where I need your help! I have a few ideas of where I want to explore, but if you’ve ever wondered about the origins of a particular thing, let me know below in the comments or on Twitter!

Also Last Week in Geekdom will still be running, but it will have an added bonus! I’ll be participating in Inktober this year and I’d thought I’d include the week’s worth of art at the end of every news round-up. But you can also find it on my Instagram @am_ziebrah starting October 1st! You can find the prompts I may or may not be using here.

Anyways, please do leave your suggestions in the comments and spread the word! Come join me October 1st for the blog’s first ever spooktacular!

      1. Hellsing would be something I’d be mighty interested in as the series is so loved terms of vampire genre. But also with the vampire genre what some of the influences or inspiration behind certain shows?
